Animal and Plant Life

The coastal environment provides many different types of habitats for plants and animals to call their home.

Some animals are migratory, or can live in more than one type of habitat. Many fish and crabs grow up in the marsh and move to the ocean as adults.

Some plants are tolerant of different environments, adapting as needed to survive. Some of the plants you see here may be found in your backyard.
