A Natural Tourism Alternative

by Kim Kosko, Director of Communications, New Jersey Marine Sciences Consortium/New Jersey Sea Grant

(cont'd from page 1)

To help residents and visitors better appreciate the state’s coastal cultural connection, NJMSC/NJSG has just launched a new web site, coastalheritagenj.com, that will offer a wealth of information about the maritime and cultural treasures that can be discovered and explored around the state’s coastal regions with a special link section for similar attractions in Delaware, New York and Pennsylvania. A complete and excellent current source for annual natural and other tourism based events in New Jersey can be found at the State’s travel portal at www.visitnj.org. Hopefully, residents and visitors will think beyond the routine tourism experience and consider nature-based recreational destinations and cultural activities and more importantly, foster an attitude of appreciation and increased responsibility toward New Jersey's natural resources.
