IN SCHOOL PROGRAMS

As part of its series of in-school programs, the NJMSC offers “Ports, Harbors and Estuaries.” During this program, students will be introduced to New Jersey's estuarine environments and the exciting world of ocean transportation and shipping. Students will discover the different characteristics of New Jersey's estuarine areas and their roles as centers of commerce and recreation and providers of habitat for plant and animal species. This program includes mapping activities, live animal presentations and water quality experiments. It can also be used as an introduction to NJMSC's NY/NJ Harbor Estuary field trip program.

Our OCEANS TO GO! flyer provides complete information about NJMSC's in-school offerings, including fees and scheduling.
